3SH Class Assembly
Fri 23 Jun 2023We really enjoyed watching 3SH’s class assembly on Wednesday 14th June. They shared their learning all about the Egyptians, which included the mummification process as well as the discovery of Tutankamen’s tomb in 1922, by Howard Carter. They also shared how they have been writing notes to each other using hieroglyphics and making their own pyramids, which was a very messy process but very enjoyable! Thanks 3SH – a wonderful assembly!

Mon 12 Jun 2023On Wednesday 7th June, Mrs Payne's class enjoyed their visit to Pizza Express, where they got to make their own pizzas, whilst learning all about healthy eating. The children rolled out the dough, added sauce and cheese and even sampled a variety of pizza toppings! They couldn’t wait to take their pizzas home to share with their families.

Football in France:
Mon 12 Jun 2023We had an enjoyable weekend in France (again) from 27th - 29th May 2023. Despite taking a small squad of just 9 players, we won four of our matches and lost the other three. This meant that we finished 11th out of 20 teams. During the tournament, Filip scored a total of five goals; the most ever scored by a single Moat House player. However, this would not have been possible without the support of the rest of the team. We are very proud of all of them!

5JK’s Class Assembly:
Mon 22 May 2023On Friday 28th April, we enjoyed finding out about the learning in 5JK. They have been discovering information about Australia and were able to share many interesting facts. We were fascinated to find out that Australia is thirty two times bigger than the United Kingdom and that 80% of the country consists of desert! Finally, we thoroughly enjoyed listening to the musical talents of Philip, Ibtihaj, Tyrone, Leo and Zackarie, who played a musical extract on their brass instruments - they have learnt so much in their music lessons this year. Thanks 5JK.

Year 6 SATs:
Mon 22 May 2023Our Year 6 children completed their Key Stage 2 SATs in the week beginning 8th May. Staff were very impressed with the attitude and behaviour of all the children and we know that whatever the results are, the children couldn’t have worked any harder. We would like to say a huge well done to all of the children for their excellent efforts this week.
