School Council: Our Visit to Castle Wood School

On Friday 7th February, School Councillors from Moat House went next door to Castle Wood and had a joint meeting with their School Councillors. Both schools shared how their meetings usually run and what their school councils have been doing over the past year. We found out that there are many similiarities between how both councils work, but that sometimes things were done slightly differently. For example, at Castle Wood they use pictures as part of their meeting agenda, whereas we just use words (see pictures).

It was really interesting to share ideas; Ben (Y5) shared that he would like to see how the children at Castle Wood learn and what their classrooms are like. Alanda (Y6) was keen to show the Castle Wood children our new play equipment.

We have more joint meetings planned and are hoping to arrange some more joint activities in the future.
