Foleshill fire service visited year 4 today to talk with the children about making sure our homes are fire safe and what to do in the case of a fire. Children were asked to check if they have working smoke alarms at home and taught how to test a smoke alarm. Children watched a video of a fire and saw that a fire can take over a whole room within 3 minutes. Children have learned how to make an emergency call. They have also learned that if a fire starts on their clothes, they must STOP, DROP and ROLL.

Please allow your children to check your homes have two working smoke alarms and ensure that your children know their home address, to share in the case of an emergency.
