Week beginning: 27th November 2023

This year, Year 6 have been learning about British geographical issues. In the final lesson, we decided to make a difference within our local community and carry out a litter clean-up. We walked to local areas around the school with litter pickers, gloves and bags to collect as much litter as we could! We ended up filling all twenty bags that we took with us. We also found a variety of odd objects, including a toy motorbike, an inflatable swimming pool and giant rubber ducks! It was a great afternoon, which had an impact on our children, making them want to work harder to be considerate of the environment.
