Week beginning: 16th January 2023

In our key group lessons this week we have been learning all about our community and the people who live in it.  We went for a walk round our school and found lots of people who were all working to make our community run smoothly!  We met Sharon, our cook, who told us about all the cooking she has to do for the school, we met Rick and Lee, who are our caretakers looking after the school buildings, and we met Mr Black who manages the whole school! We compared our school to other schools and thought about the similarities and differences between our school and theirs. For example, did you know that in China they go to school till very late in the evening and in Kenya some children have to walk very far to get to school? We thought about our wider community and talked about the places we had visited, for example the church, the temple, the library and the supermarket!
