Top-up Swimming

A group of fifteen Year 5 pupils were identified as needing additional swimming lessons in order to achieve the end of KS2 objectives. As a result of this, they took part in intensive, daily swimming lessons over a two-week period to improve their swimming skills. By the end of this swimming block, 100% of the children had gained water confidence, 78% could preform self rescue techniques and 71% could swim 25m unaided. 

Any additional children who are identified as needing extra swimming support will be selected to complete another block of intensive swimming lessons when they are in Year 6.
