Week beginning: 2nd January 2023

We've been reading Coming to England by Floella Benjamin, in 4MW. This book has been fantastic for highlighting what it can feel like for children moving to a different country. It has helped us learn about how hard it is to make friends and how children can support others by being friendly and welcoming. 

It also highlights how within history there have been moments of racism and how we have and still can learn from them going forward. 

The children have had incredibly mature discussions, asked amazing questions, and developed even more empathy.
