In today’s lesson, our class split into four groups, which each represented a different political party. First, we selected a name for our party and then we elected a leader. Within our groups, we shared our ideas about how to improve the school with the party leader, who then selected the five best policies. Once we had decided on our policies, each leader shared them with the rest of the class, in order to persuade the children to vote for them. Finally, each child had to vote for who they thought would be the best at improving the school.
