Remembrance
Year 3 children learned about the importance of remembrance Sunday. We discussed how terrifying it must have been for young soldiers who went to war so that we can live safe, happy lives in Britain today. We made poppy wreaths to celebrate and shared all of the things we are grateful for thanks to the sacrifice of soldiers many years ago.
On Monday the 11th November, at 11 o'clock the whole school came together to mark the anniversary of the end of the First World War. We watched thee BBC coverage and respectfully participated in the two minutes silence. All of our children showed great empathy as they reflected on the lives of people from the past.
