To put a greater emphasis on encouraging our children to learn their times tables, we introduced the “99 Club” as a way of giving children an incentive to do this. Within the children’s maths classes, each child is given a Club sheet to complete starting at the “10 Club” (KS1), which consists of 10 questions all the way up to “99 Club”, which has 99 questions. Children need to complete each Club sheet three times before they can move on to the next Club and these will be completed twice per week within the children’s maths classes. This will help to ensure that children become secure with their times tables facts or related division facts and their quick recall.
