Week beginning: 6th February 2023

We have been learning about ‘Traditional Tales’ recently at Nursery and have focussed on 'The Three Bears’, 'The Three Billy Goats Gruff’ and 'The Three Little Pigs’.  We have been counting up to three with our fingers and learning about the different characters in each story.

The children have shared their opinions and helped to re-enact the story using role-play masks. We talked about what trolls might look like and the children used their creative skills to imagine and paint their own interpretation of a troll.  The children said that the Troll made them feel scared and we explained that trolls are not real, they are pretend.  We shared an emotion story called ‘What Makes Me Scared’ and talked about what makes us feel frightened.
