Fundraising

RNLI Fundraiser: Thank you for your contributions to our fundraiser last week. As a result of our children wearing blue non uniform for the day, we managed to raise £310.06. Thank you for supporting us and our local charities.

RNLI Fundraiser:         On Monday 10th June, we held an assembly all about the good work that the RNLI do to support people who get into trouble in the water. This is a charity that is particularly close to Moat House hearts as there was a tragic incident three years ago on the South coast, involving a. local young man (Callum). Callum was a true hero as he saved several members of his family when they got into difficulty in the water, but unfortunately lost his own life whilst doing so. We would like to thank everyone for supporting us in raising money for the RNLI today by wearing blue non-uniform. You are also very welcome to join Callum’s family and friends on Saturday 13th July from 11am at Pinley Rugby Club, where they will holding an event to raise money for the RNLI.

RNLI Fundraiser:         As part of our School Council meeting on Thursday 23rd May, we welcomed Samantha, Sue, Anne and Danielle, who talked to us about the fundraising that they are leading in order to support the RNLI after 18 year old family member, Callum sadly passed away in a tragedy at sea, in 2021. They are holding a fundraising event on Saturday 13th July at Pinley Rugby Club at 11 am, where there will be various fun activities and prizes, for all of the family – everyone is welcome! We will also be holding a non-uniform day on Friday 14th June, in order to support this cause.

Red Nose Day:  Thank you for your support by enabling your children to dress in red on Friday 15th March for Red Nose Day. Your children took part in activities in class, which included decorating a biscuit. We managed to raise £227.17 in total. Thank you.

Non-Uniform Day:           Thank you to everyone for your support in wearing non-uniform on Friday 2nd February in exchange for providing cat food and/or treats for our local charity “Fagin’s Waifs and Strays.” Kirsty and Pat will be delighted with your contributions.

Christmas Fayre:   On Wednesday 6th December, our Christmas Fayre was a resounding success and Santa’s grotto was a particular hit with children big and small! Each class had the challenge to run their own stall with a prize being awarded to the stall which raised the most money. We would like to thank you for your support, as well as your donations and we will let you know of the total amount raised in a future newsletter.

Children in Need: On Friday 17th November, our children were given the opportunity to purchase toys or books from our Children in Need toy sale. The children enjoyed browsing amongst the wonderful donations that you provided and all of the proceeds will be passed on to Children in Need. We must give a huge thank you to Mrs Kriaun, Mrs Walker and Jodie and Noreen (from Hays) for all their organisation and support.

Children in Need: Thank you to everyone who came to school on Friday 10th November wearing their pyjamas in exchange for a toy or a book. We are raising money for Children in Need so watch this space to find out how much we manage to raise at our toy sale.

Children in Need: Early in the second part of the Autumn half term, we will be raising money for Children In Need. On Monday 6th November, we will begin selling merchandise at playtimes as follows: Pudsey ears - £2.50, Pudsey pins - £1.00. On Friday 10th November, children are invited to come to school dressed in their pyjamas in exchange for a book or toy of GOOD quality (this could be an item from home that is no longer used). The following week (Friday 17th November), there will be a toy and book sale - children will be invited to bring a maximum of £5 to school so that they can buy a toy or book from the sale.

Macmillan Fundraiser: Thank you for supporting our recent coffee morning and cake sale. We raised the grand total of £449.85, which is a similar amount to how much we raised last year! Thank you everyone for your continued support!

Macmillan Coffee Morning:     Thank you to all of our parents, family and friends, who attended our coffee morning on Friday 29th September and ensured that it was a great success. We also welcomed our RISE Team in to school and they spoke to everyone about how to help with the signs and symptoms of early mental health issues. They gave five ways to wellbeing ie: connect, keep learning, be active, take notice and give and gave practical ideas for how you can help if you experience feelings like low mood. The children did not miss out on the cake sale and enjoyed buying a cake (or two) to support Macmillan during the day.

Christmas Jumper Fundraising:       For Christmas Jumper Day (on Wednesday 14th December), we managed to raise £93, which will be donated to a local Coventry charity. Once again, thank you for all your support.

Macmillan Assembly. On Friday 21st October, Mary Weavers (from Macmillan) joined our assembly via a video link to say thank you to the children (and parents) for all of the money that we raised (£500.88) at our recent coffee morning. Mary explained to the children how the money helps people with cancer and showed us round the Macmillan centre, which is designed to help people with other aspects of their life that may be affected by cancer eg: finances, hair loss and emotional support.
