Moat House Hub - Summer Timetable of activities

Autumn Term 23:

 

Parental Support:     If you have a child who struggles to sleep, you might be interested in the Sleep Tight workshops which will be held online on Tuesday 26th September (9:30-11:00) and Thursday 23rd November (12:30-2:00). There will also be free money advice sessions held at the Moat Family Hub on Thursdays in September from 9:30 - 11am.

The Moat Hub     For anyone who doesn't already know, can we make you aware that the Hub is a dedicated 'warm space' where you are welcome to spend some time and you can get a free cup of tea or coffee while you are there. They also have a large selection of pre-loved children's and babies' clothes and can offer people free fruit and vegetables (which are delivered to the Hub on Mondays). You are welcome to pop in at any time to find out more and one of their friendly members of staff will assist you.

 

Gossip Girls:  The Moat Family Hub is calling out to local women who would like to chat and meet new people. All women are welcome to join this group, which is a safe space for women to talk and gain advice and support. The group meets on Wednesday mornings from 9:30- 11am at the Moat Family Hub.

The Moat Family Hub:        

We have been given leaflets with information about the services that the Family Hub can provide. These include a healthy lifestyles advisor (Tuesdays), a stay and play group for pre-school children (Wednesdays) and a school nurse drop in session (first Thursday of every month). Please ask at Reception if you wish to have a leaflet with more information.

Your local School Nurse (Georgina) will be available for parents to speak to about any health questions or concerns on the first Thursday of every month from 3 – 6 pm. – no appointment is needed.

 

Family Learning in the Community:                

We have been asked to let you know that there are opportunities for parents to access courses which will enable participants to gain a greater understanding of what and how children learn at school. There are programmes in maths, phonics as well as parenting support courses. For further information, please access the following website:
