The Moat Family Hub:
We have been given leaflets with information about the services that the Family Hub can provide. These include a healthy lifestyles advisor (Tuesdays), a stay and play group for pre-school children (Wednesdays) and a school nurse drop in session (first Thursday of every month). Please ask at Reception if you wish to have a leaflet with more information.
Your local School Nurse (Georgina) will be available for parents to speak to about any health questions or concerns on the first Thursday of every month from 3 – 6 pm. – no appointment is needed.
Family Learning in the Community:
We have been asked to let you know that there are opportunities for parents to access courses which will enable participants to gain a greater understanding of what and how children learn at school. There are programmes in maths, phonics as well as parenting support courses. For further information, please access the following website:
Parents and children enjoyed a special assembly on Monday 2nd October where we all shared our gratitude for the food that we enjoy on a daily basis. We would like to say a huge thank you to everyone who contributed food to our Harvest Festival. Your kind donations were given to Mr Tyrrell from St Chad's Church who came to the assembly and were distributed to local people who are in need.
We recently received this from the school nurse: Coventry School Nursing is delighted to launch two new health focussed websites for young people across Coventry, one aimed at children and another for teenagers. www.healthforkids.co.uk offers a fun way for children to learn about health with games, activities and quizzes, and also offers advice to parents.
