Week beginning: 20th May 2024

This week in life skills, 1RW have been learning about stranger danger. We read the book ‘Never talk to strangers’ by Irma Joyce and discussed why it is important not to talk to people we do not know both in person and online, even if they seem friendly. We then put ‘Yes’ and ‘No’ at either sides of the classroom and moved to each side dependent on whether we trusted specific people, such as teachers, cousins, or older children in the park. The children asked lots of questions and we talked about safe adults we can trust and what to do if a stranger comes up to us.
