Family Support

Food Bank Vouchers

If you are in need of help with food please let us know and we will help out with a voucher. You can speak with your child's class teacher, the ladies in the Office or Mr McIlroy.

Seatbelt Safety: Please may we remind you that children need to be securely fastened, in a car seat or seat belt (depending on their height) whilst travelling in a motor vehicle, and this includes on the school site.

 

SEND Session:  Please see the flyer that has been sent out to support parents of children with dyslexia. This will be held on Tuesday 11th July at 10 am at Coventry’s Council House. Email: iass@coventry.gov.uk for more information.

 

Drama Workshops:      We have been notified about some exciting summer workshops for those children (aged 7 and above) who are interested in drama, movement and performing. Bookings for those with a HAF code open on Monday 3rd July, via the Coventry City Council website - https://www.coventry.gov.uk/haf All other bookings open from Monday 10th July.

 

Goods Support:

Throughout the lockdown period, we were able to support families with food parcels, as well as other essentials including white goods, beds and bedding. This was through our Breakfast Club link with Greggs, to who we are most grateful for their support. We have been notified that there is now a further round, for which we are able to make new applications.

The Greggs Foundation states “to help alleviate financial pressure/s felt by families, none so more for the provision of food and living necessities following the Coronavirus outbreak, we are able to apply for the purchase of the following: fridge, freezer, fridge-freezer, cooker, washing machine, tumble dryer, clothing, (inclusive of school uniform) grocery vouchers and beds/bedding”.

 

Coventry Boot Fund:  

If you are struggling to purchase a pair of school shoes for your child/ren you can apply for a voucher, redeemable against a pair of suitable school shoes at Ager Shoes, Corporation Street, Coventry, CV1 1GF. Please pop into the main school reception and ask for a Boot Fund application form. Applications are considered in September, December, January and May.

 

BBC Children in Need Emergency Essentials Programme:     

This programme supports children and young people who are facing exceptionally difficult circumstances, and is delivered by the Family Fund Business Services. The programme provides items that meet a child’s most basic needs such as a bed to sleep in, a cooker to provide a hot meal and other items or services critical to a child’s wellbeing.

Who can the programme help?

  • Vulnerable children and young people up to the age of 18, who are experiencing a crisis or emergency.
  • UK or EU citizens who are normally resident in the UK.
  • Only one application per household accepted within a 12 month period.
