Week beginning: 26th June 2023

This week, Year 5 have enjoyed a fantastic trip to Derbyshire for two nights and three days. They had the opportunity to explore the countryside with a 7km hike through the forests nearby, and they were even able to visit Conkers and challenge themselves with the range of activities there, including the high ropes and nature trail. For many children, it was their first time away from home ever, and they demonstrated incredible maturity in a new environment!

The children that remained in Coventry also had an action-packed three days! They enjoyed an active scavenger hunt, learned more about Moat House's beehives and made animal-themed tessellated art pieces.  On Tuesday they made their way to Go Ape and also enjoyed a range of games in the park. Finally, on Wednesday the children worked in small teams to research, design, create and present a scale-model of a 'Wild Creation' as part of the Discovery CREST award.
