Week beginning: 8th May 2023

To celebrate the coronation of King Charles, Year 6 learnt all about the monarchy. They explored previous monarchs and discussed the differences between the reigns of many kings and queens who have ruled over the last few centuries. They were also taught about the concept of the monarchy and heirs to the throne. On Friday 5^th May, children spent the morning designing and making their own crowns to wear during a street party held in honour of King Charles!
