Week beginning: 20th March 2023

In Reception, we have been learning about growth and change. We were very lucky to have our own eggs delivered by ‘Living Eggs’ that we cared for and hatched in an incubator. We learned about what chicks needed to be happy and healthy and what was the same about us being happy and healthy and what was different. We had to clean the chicks out everyday and give them a bowl of food for breakfast and a bowl of food for their dinner. We had to let them get plenty of sleep to help them grow and be very careful when we handled them. After two weeks, they were getting too big for their brood box and were collected and went to live on a small farm as free range chickens.
