On Thursday afternoon, Year 4 enjoyed a visit from the Coventry Fire Service. The fire fighters came to talk to the children about fire safety. It was really fascinating as they learned all about how to keep themselves, as well as their families and homes, safe. The children quickly learned how to call for help in an emergency and how to help fire fighters get to the right place as fast as possible. Ms Bourne was also dressed up in all the clothing and equipment a fire fighter needs, which was a great way to celebrate her birthday. Lots of thoughtful questions were asked and several children are now keen to become fire fighters!
