This week, some Year 6 children attended 'The Youth Energy Summit' where they explored the energy crisis through discussions, performances, interactive workshops and exhibitions. The event provided children with a platform to share ideas, develop knowledge and debate sustainable solutions. The main learning focus was through arts-based workshops, which used arts approaches and physical theatre techniques to help students understand renewable energy technologies, energy conservation strategies and policy advocacy. The children who attended will feedback what they learned to the rest of Year 6, allowing the whole year group to develop their understanding of the right decisions regarding energy usage.
