RSP visit to Pizza Express:  On Wednesday 15th May, RSP enjoyed their visit to Pizza Express, where they got to make their own pizzas, whilst learning all about the skills needed to work in a professional kitchen!  The children rolled out the dough and added sauce and cheese! They couldn’t wait to take their pizzas home to share with their families.

Year 6 SATs:  Our Year 6 children completed their Key Stage 2 SATs in the week beginning 13th May. Staff were very impressed with the attitude and behaviour of all of our children and we know that whatever the results are, the children couldn’t have worked any harder. We would like to say a huge well done to all of the children for their excellent efforts this week. As a reward, the children came to school in their pyjamas today and had a movie morning in the school hall!

Reception trip to Warwick Castle:  On Wednesday 8th May, our Reception children enjoyed a trip to Warwick Castle. When first arriving at the castle, the children were greeted by some very beautiful peacocks as well as an archer who was perfecting his target practise! The children were wowed by the size of the castle and enjoyed exploring both the king maker exhibition and the state rooms, which demonstrated how and what the castle would have looked like in the past.  We were treated to a fantastic birds of prey show with condors, owls, eagles and vultures swooping over our heads!  The day ended with a play in the Zog playground as well as the unique experience of putting the teachers in the stocks!  A fantastic time was had by all, and the children were a credit to the school.

2JL’s Class Assembly:   On Friday 3rd May, we learned a lot about King Henry VIII, a very famous king who had six wives. 2JL sang a great song to remind us what happened to each of his wives: divorced, beheaded, died, divorced, beheaded, survived. We don’t think King Henry was a very nice man!

Year 4 Trip:     Year 4 visited Wroxeter Roman City on Thursday 2nd May. They looked at the remains of what was the fourth largest Roman city in Britain which is gradually being uncovered by archaeologists. The children toured the site and explored the ruins with their guide who was dressed in Roman attire. They listened to stories of that time.
