  • Year 1 Library Visit

    Mon 27 Jun 2022

On Thursday 23rd June, Year 1 visited Bell Green library. After walking there, we browsed the book selection and had time to explore both fiction and non-fiction texts. The children had the opportunity to sign up for a library card and they each chose one book to take home to share with their families. On Thursday 14th July we will return to the library again to take our books back. The children were also given the opportunity to take part in a summer reading challenge. Children are challenged to read 6 books over the summer holidays in order to win a medal and a certificate. Children can also collect stickers every time they visit the library. This is a great place to take children over the long summer holiday, which is free of charge. Look out for more information on more events happening there throughout summer.

When a vital match ended in a draw, the children had to take part in a nail biting penalty shoot out. It was a victory for Moat House and particular mentions must go to Riley for scoring the winning penalty and to Harry for making a crucial save. Credit goes to all of the children who took part. We also had some lovely feedback from the host families who all commented on how well behaved the children were and what good manners they have.
