  • 4SG’s Class Assembly:

    Mon 26 Jun 2023

On Friday 23rd June, 4SG treated us to a wonderful assembly, which showcased lots of their recent class work. Max, Ezekiel, Schako, Imran and Ihab provided us with an excellent dance and swimming demonstration. We also enjoyed an extract of Romeo and Juliet, as well as a whole class song which the children have been using to help them learn the three times tables. We are especially proud of them because they demonstrated excellent independent learning by creating the assembly themselves, with only a little guidance from Mr Gilmour, Mrs Edwards and Miss Morrin.

The performance raised awareness about the importance of caring for the environment. It was a dance and sensory experience, where the children were taken under the sea and into the jungle to consider the effects of pollution on plants and creatures around the world. The performers shared how perfectly behaved our children were and said they were a credit to Moat House – well done Key Stage One!

A big thank you to Victoria, Amiya, Alex and Juliette from 5LM, who wrote then presented an assembly on Monday 12th June about the dangers of carbon monoxide. The girls asked if they could lead the assembly after Year 5 were visited by Safety Seymour recently, who explained the dangers of carbon monoxide to Year 5; they thought that everybody should hear about how dangerous it is. It was very informative!

  • 3SH Class Assembly

    Fri 23 Jun 2023

We really enjoyed watching 3SH’s class assembly on Wednesday 14th June. They shared their learning all about the Egyptians, which included the mummification process as well as the discovery of Tutankamen’s tomb in 1922, by Howard Carter. They also shared how they have been writing notes to each other using hieroglyphics and making their own pyramids, which was a very messy process but very enjoyable! Thanks 3SH – a wonderful assembly!
