  • Summer Wishes:

    Mon 24 Jul 2023

I’d like to wish our Year 6 children ‘all the best’ as they move on to their new schools in September and I hope that you all have a very happy and safe summer and look forward to seeing you all again on Tuesday 5th September (remember doors will now open 10 minutes earlier at 8.40am and registers will be done at 8.50am – our new start time)

  • Mini Fete:

    Mon 24 Jul 2023

Despite the rain, we were able to hold our mini fete under the canopies on Thursday 20th July. We welcomed many parents (and children) and managed to raise approximately £800. Thank you so much for your

  • Moat Fest:

    Mon 24 Jul 2023

To celebrate the end of the year, as well as their time at Moat House, our Year 6 children were rewarded with an after-school, festival themed party on Tuesday 18th July! After raising a toast, the children spent the evening dancing and enjoying time with their friends, playing party games, posing in the photo booth or playing football in the inflatable stadium we hired. The children loved dressing up in their festival outfits and accessorising with flower garlands, eye gems and temporary tattoos! Everybody had a great time and took the opportunity to say some goodbyes to their friends before they move on to secondary school. Good luck Year 6!

  • Reports:

    Mon 24 Jul 2023

Your child’s annual school report was given out on Monday 10th July and we hope that you find it a useful record of your child’s achievements and progress over this academic year. There was an opportunity for parents to come in to school to discuss their child’s report on Wednesday 19th July.

  • Aladdin:

    Mon 24 Jul 2023

Our Year 6 children excelled themselves in the week commencing 17th July, with two performances of the pantomime, Aladdin. Parents, staff and children thoroughly enjoyed the show and didn’t want it to end. We enjoyed their singing and acting, as well as the traditional pantomime characters and jokes. Special mentions must go to Paloma, Furaha, Amie and Filip for their bravery in solo singing, whilst Leni as Widow Twankey really made his character come alive. Well done Year 6!

  • Attendance Rewards:

    Mon 24 Jul 2023

On Monday 17th July, we held a prize draw for all of the children who had over 97% attendance from 17th April to 7th July. In total, there were over 180 children who achieved this, they were then entered into separate draws with the two names in each draw winning a bike, a lock and a helmet. All children then went into a super draw to win a PS5. Congratulations to all of the children who achieved the 97% but unfortunately there could only be a lucky few – see below.

    KS1: Dottie and Jaffary

    The winner of the PS5

    was Olivia-Rose

  • Year R Assembly:

    Mon 24 Jul 2023

On Friday 14th July, we enjoyed a super assembly, courtesy of our Reception children. They have been learning a lot about the ocean, which has included pirates, ocean creatures and looking after the ocean and seaside. We especially enjoyed the Ocean Jam and Sea Shanty, which were both very catchy and had everyone joining in. Thanks Reception!

  • Precious Lives:

    Mon 24 Jul 2023

On Thursday 13th July, our Year 6 children took part in a 'Precious Lives' workshop, which was run by the West Midlands Police. During the session, the children discussed their futures and their ambitions and were given the opportunity to consider how the choices they might make, could affect these aspirations. They also considered how their friendship and peer groups could have a positive or negative effect on their futures. The children all listened thoughtfully throughout and were very sensible when some serious and mature themes were discussed.

  • EYFS and Year 1 trip to Twin Lakes:

    Mon 24 Jul 2023

On Wednesday 12th July, Nursery and Reception enjoyed a visit to Twin Lakes, where they experienced the thrills of the rides, a farm, soft play, climbing frames, as well as the water park. Not surprisingly, the water park was the firm favourite, as the children not only enjoyed the slides but were extremely excited to be able to soak their teachers! All of the children were very well behaved and had a fantastic time.  Thank you to all the staff and parents who came and supported us on this trip.
