Last Week's News 24th April 26
Careers Day: On Friday 24th April, we enjoyed our first ever careers day to support our Life Skills learning and curriculum. Across the whole school, children embraced the day by dressing up as the careers they would like to pursue in their futures. – it was lovely to meet future artists, chefs, doctors and firefighters. In their learning, our youngest children learnt about different types of jobs, children in years three and four learnt about setting goals and personal strengths and our oldest children considered the qualities needed to become employed and the routes into different careers. We hope the children enjoyed the day and thank you for your support with the inspiring outfits!
Nursery Trip: Our Nursery children had a fantastic day at Hoar Park Farm on Thursday 23rd April, where they had the opportunity to explore and learn about a variety of animals including goats, sheep, cows and ponies. They even got to see a baby goat that had been born only an hour before! A visit to the reptile house was a real highlight, with some children bravely holding a stick insect and stroking a bearded dragon. The children enjoyed playing in the park before heading home. They were all beautifully well behaved and had a wonderful time from start to finish.
1ET’s Class Assembly: On Thursday 23rd April, we enjoyed a delightful assembly presented by 1ET. The children retold the story of Elmer, sharing a wonderful message about individuality and the importance of celebrating our differences. They concluded with a cheerful song, set to the tune of “Twinkle, Twinkle, Little Star,” reminding us all that we are amazing just as we are.
