Rise and Shine: We hope you have noticed our new morning welcome, with music playing at the main school gates each day. We are thoroughly enjoying starting the morning with uplifting and motivating music, helping to create a positive atmosphere and put smiles on faces as everyone arrives. We hope it gives you and your children a happy, energising start to the day and sets the tone for a successful day of learning ahead! 🎵😊🚲✨
Bikeability: Many of the Year 5 children were excited to begin their Bikeability sessions on Thursday 17th September. They were taught about how to stay safe when riding a bike and learnt how to identify faults that would make a bike unsafe to ride, such as a worn tyre. The children enjoyed cycling around the playground and are very excited about their session next week. Lottie said, “I liked how I could change the gear so I could go fast or slow!”
Cricket Coaching: On Tuesday 15th September, some of our Year 3 and Year 5 children took part in a cricket session led by a coach from Warwickshire County Cricket. Many of the children had never even heard of cricket before, so it was wonderful to introduce them to a new sport! The children thoroughly enjoyed learning a range of cricket skills, including catching, throwing and batting.
