  • Carbon Monoxide Awareness:

    Mon 15 May 2023

On Thursday 18th May, our Year 5 children enjoyed an informative visit from the CO Crew. The children learnt about the importance of being carbon monoxide aware, via videos, interactive learning and even a street dance! The children learnt that carbon monoxide cannot be seen, heard, smelled, tasted or touched, yet it can cause serious health issues, if it is not prevented. The children were all provided with a carbon monoxide monitor to take home with them, to detect the deadly gas and protect their families.

  • Reception trip to Warwick Castle:

    Mon 15 May 2023

On Wednesday 17th May, our Reception children enjoyed a trip to Warwick Castle. When first arriving at the castle, the children were greeted by a knight, squire and their horse! The children were wowed by the size of the castle and enjoyed exploring both the king maker exhibition and the state rooms, which demonstrated how and what the castle would have looked like in the past.  We were treated to a fantastic birds of prey show with condors, owls, eagles and vultures swooping over our heads!  The day ended with a play in the new Zog playground and putting the teachers in the stocks!  A fantastic time was had by all, and the children were a credit to the school.

  • Year 6’s Movie Afternoon:

    Mon 15 May 2023

On Friday 12th May, Year 6 completed their final SATs paper. All of the children worked incredibly hard and showed great resilience whilst working through their assessments. To celebrate the end of their tests, the children were rewarded with a movie afternoon at Grace Academy, last Friday. They walked to Grace and then watched the film Johnny English; they were especially happy with the chocolates, popcorn and other treats they received. Well done Year 6; we are all very proud of you!

  • Prime Minister’s Question Time:

    Mon 01 May 2023

On Wednesday 26th April, some members of our School Council filmed short videos to take part in a competition, whereby they could pose a question to our Prime Minister, Rishi Sunak. Our children: Kelsey, Erik, Hishaam and Saida asked thought provoking questions so we are now looking forward to hearing if one of our questions is actually selected to ask the Prime Minister! See our website for the video clips.

  • Star School:

    Mon 01 May 2023

In the week beginning 24th April, Moat House was the featured school on BBC Coventry and Warwickshire Radio, which meant that every day 2-4 children were heard showcasing Moat House, on the radio’s Breakfast Show. Our children: Max, Ezekiel (Y4), Raluca, Philip, Milan, Liam, Laycie (Y5), Raisa, Amie and Lamin (Y6) did a fantastic job of representing the school. The broadcasts included the following features: live in the playground, meet the school, star school news and a tour of the school. They even planted some sunflower seeds, as part of the show’s Get Into Nature feature. If you missed the live editions of the show, you can catch up on BBC Sounds and tune in to Phil Upton’s Breakfast Show.

  • Book Fair:

    Mon 01 May 2023

Our Book Fair was collected on Wednesday 26th April and we would like to thank you all for visiting and purchasing books for your children to enjoy. As an additional bonus, the school will receive a percentage of the total number of books purchased, to buy more books for our school library. Happy reading everyone!
