Last Week's News 28th March 25

Mothers’ Day Events:    Thank you to all who came to our Mothers’ day morning or afternoon tea on Friday 28th March - this was a huge success and we know that the children really relished spending quality time with the special ladies in their lives, whilst enjoying tea and cake.

Parents’ Evening: Thank you to those who were able to attend parents’ evenings on Tuesday 25th and Wednesday 26th March. If you were unable to see your child’s teacher, please don’t hesitate to request a separate appointment, either via the school office or by speaking to your child’s class teacher.

Year 3 Visit to Albany Theatre: On Tuesday 25th March, our Year 3 children had a very busy day. They started the day with a visit to the old and new cathedral and even managed a quick stop off to see Dippy the dinosaur at the Herbert Museum. We then visited the Godiva and Peeping Tom statues. At 12 o'clock we watched the Godiva clock before heading to the Albany theatre for our Creature Cantanta musical performance. The children even sang on stage with a live orchestra; an exhausting day celebrating our incredible city and all its culture!

RJL Visit to Pizza Express:             On Tuesday 25th March, RJL enjoyed an exciting trip to Pizza Express in Warwick to make their own pizzas. The children were given chef hats and aprons and were shown how to roll out their own dough and flip it over. Once the children had mastered their skills, they were given another piece of dough to make into their pizza. The children added the tomato base and cheese before the pizza chefs put them into the oven. To end our amazing pizza experience the children got to have a pizza picnic in the park before enjoying a well-earned play on the playground.
