As part of their English lessons, Year 6 have been reading 'Percy Jackson and the Lightning Thief'. To bring the story to life and further develop their learning, the children enjoyed a trip to the theatre to watch the musical adaptation of the book.

The pupils were captivated by the performance, enjoying both the acting and the lively music. Many were completely absorbed in the story as it unfolded on stage, and they were especially enthusiastic about the songs, which they still ask to listen to back in the classroom. The trip provided a memorable way to connect their reading to a live performance and helped inspire further discussion, writing and creativity in their English lessons.
