Year 6 Residential Visit to Dol-y-Moch

Every year during the spring term, Year 6 pupils have the exciting opportunity to go on a residential visit to Plas Dol-y-Moch in Wales, staying away for four nights and taking part in a variety of adventurous activities. These activities range from climbing mountains and abseiling to kayaking and orienteering and each allows the children to challenge themselves while having fun and making unforgettable memories.

The visit also helps pupils develop independence, resilience and confidence as they try new experiences and work together as a team. During their stay, every child is given a responsibility, such as sweeping corridors, helping to clear up after meals or setting the table, which encourages them to become more responsible and aware of others.

The Year 6 residential is not just about adventure; it’s a chance for children to grow, support each other and create lasting friendships in a vibrant and exciting environment.
