Year 3 Visit to the Belgrade Theatre
As part of our ‘45 Things to Do at Moat House’ initiative, Year 3 pupils enjoy a magical annual visit to the Belgrade Theatre — a highlight of the festive season and a wonderful opportunity to enrich their cultural experiences. This special trip is designed to spark imagination, build confidence, and support personal development by introducing children to the world of live performance.
This year, we’re thrilled to be watching Sleeping Beauty, a timeless tale brought to life with music, laughter, and eccentric actors. The visit helps children get into the festive spirit while deepening their appreciation for storytelling and the arts. For many, it’s their first experience of professional theatre — and it’s always a day filled with excitement, wonder, and lasting memories. Traditionally, our favourite part has been the sing-a-long at the end, which often turns into a dance-a-long, too!
