British Science Week

During British Science Week, 3MM like other classes took part in a range of exciting activities designed to inspire curiosity and a love of scientific discovery. The national event celebrates science, technology, engineering and maths (STEM) and encouraged children to explore the world around them by asking questions and investigating how things work. 

This year's theme was "Curiosity... what is your question?". 3MM collaborated and took part in an exciting experiment which investigated how water is absorbed by plant by exploring water uptake through roots. We also discussed what it means to be in a STEM career. A discussion about STEM also allowed us to explore the contributions of certain careers to science and technology in the world today.
