Governors’ Awards: On Friday 20th March, a special ceremony was held to recognise children at Moat House, who have worked hard or shown good behaviour or attitude during the Spring term. The following children were awarded with a certificate and a voucher, in front of a very proud audience of parents, governors and staff, for their hard work and achievements.

Red Nose Day: Thank you for supporting us to raise money for Comic Relief on Friday 20th March. It was great to see our children in a sea of scarlet, as we encouraged children to wear red. In the spirit of doing something funny for money, we also held a joke competition where we invited children to share their funniest joke in classes. The best joke for each year group was shared in assembly this morning and the winners received an Easter egg. The winners were: Roman (YR), Aibe (Y1), Peter, Bella (Year 2), Jack (Year 3), Adonay (Year 4), Yusra, Simon (Year 5) and Ewan (Year 6).
Castle Wood Visit: On Monday 16th March, our Year 2 School Councillors (Melanie, Kamal, Ethan and Mia) visited Castle Wood to help pupils there create colourful bookmarks to sell in the local community. The children used finger‑printing techniques and added details with felt‑tip pens, producing wonderfully realistic fish, bumblebees, flowers and rainbows. On Thursday 19th March, the same children returned to Castle Wood to share their bookmarks in an assembly. Everyone enjoyed two fantastic afternoons working together, and it was lovely to spend time with our next‑door neighbours.
Bookmark Competition: Thank you to everyone who took part in our design a bookmark competition during the week of World Book Day (week commencing 2nd March) - the lucky winners were: Kamal (Year 2), Sabrina (Year 4) and Demi (Year 6).
