Last Week's News 16th Jan 26

3MM’s Class Assembly:      3MM led a very informative assembly on Friday 16th January called ‘Our Body’s Got Talent’. They discussed how all the different systems of the body (muscles, skeletal, digestive and nervous systems) work together to make our bodies amazing. They also told us all about the superfoods we need to stay healthy. To cap it all off, they sang a brilliant song all about our bones. Well done, 3MM! Brilliant reading, singing and amazing information!

Bikeability:           (Written by Cole) In Bikeability (Wednesday 14th and Friday 16th January), we got given bikes from how tall we are and there were three teachers. One took the people who could ride a bike and the other two took the people who couldn’t ride a bike. Most of the people who couldn’t ride a bike can now. Luckily, no-one fell off their bike and everyone had fun!

Year 5 PCSOs:     (Written by Marley J) On Tuesday 13th January, some of the Year 5 children became Junior PCSOs, we received the phonetic alphabet and we need to learn it. We have also been given an ID card and a uniform. In week 2, we are going to check car speeds outside our school with a speed gun. If any cars are going over the speed limit, we will write them a ticket using the phonetic alphabet. Before we check car speeds, we will be tested on our phonetic alphabet. Now to week 3 - our play ground will be turned into a crime scene and we will need to find out who did the crime and why it was done. In week 4, we will turn the library into a court room and find out which criminal committed the crime from week 3. We will also have other people in the room so it feels real. Finally in week 5, we will be allowed to use handcuffs, a baton and other equipment. We will also wear some real police clothes and have a test on our phonetic alphabet.
