1RW’s Class Assembly:      We were treated to a wonderful class assembly on Friday 14^th March from 1RW, who focussed on the reading opportunities they have recently enjoyed – these have included dressing up as book characters for World Book Day and a visit to the local library. While they were at the library, they enjoyed a music workshop about the book “Rumble in the Jungle.” As part of their learning in music, they have also been learning some challenging Italian words including mezzo forte, which means medium quiet and fortissimo, which means very loud. Thanks 1RW – we really enjoyed your assembly.

 

Year 3 Science Workshop:  In keeping with this year’s British Science Week theme, ‘Change and Adapt’, Year 3 participated in an online LIVE workshop on Wednesday 12^th March, which taught them about animal adaptation and climate change fighting innovation. The children explored all the ways that animals and crops are adapted to their habitats here in Britain and all the ways that British farmers are adapting their practice to fight against climate change. The children were especially lucky because they got to see a baby calf being born while they were watching!
