Last Weeks News 13th March 26

British Science Week: In the week beginning 9th March, we celebrated British Science Week with the theme, "Curiosity... what is your question?". The children had a special assembly which explored how asking questions helps scientists discover new ideas and understand the world around us. We talked discussed why it is important to keep wondering how and why things happen. Pupils also took part in a range of activities. Some classes investigated how plants absorb water by exploring water uptake through roots. Others worked together to solve a classification themed escape room. It has been fantastic to see the children thinking like scientists. British Science Week has been a wonderful opportunity to celebrate curiosity and inspire a love of science across the school. We will continue to encourage them to ask questions about the world around them!

Mothers’ Day Events:           Thank you to all who came to our Mothers’ day morning or afternoon tea on Friday 13th March - this was a huge success and we know that the children really relished spending quality time with the special ladies in their lives, whilst enjoying tea and cake. We hope that you all have a wonderful time this coming Sunday, appreciating all of the special people, who look after us throughout the year.
