On Thursday 25^th November, Year 5 visited the National Space Centre in Leicester. We explored the six galleries there. In the 'Space Oddities' gallery, we were able to see some unusual objects, which revealed some of the less well-known stories in space history. We also explored the forty two metre high 'Rocket Tower' where we were able to see some real rockets. We also watched the show 'Astronauts' in the Sir Patrick Moore Planetarium.  During the show, we were able to experience a rocket launch from inside the body of an astronaut. We were also able to explore the amazing worlds of inner and outer space, from floating around the International Space Station to manoeuvring through microscopic regions of the human body. We all had a fantastic day and learned lots of information to support our learning in our upcoming science lessons!
