On Tuesday 17^th May, our Year 6 children were lucky enough to take part in a workshop run by an architect! They learnt all about what the job entails and how to become an architect, before exploring different styles of buildings around the UK. They then learnt specifically about Tudor and Victorian houses, and how they differed from one another and from more modern buildings. Once they'd learnt all about these features, they had the opportunity to design their own building before using junk modelling materials to build their own houses. The children will continue to work on their projects over a few more sessions until they are perfect. Once complete, the finished projects will be showcased in a final workshop where the architect will return to celebrate the children's hard work. Well done Year 6.
