6CB’s Class Assembly:       It was a joy to watch our first class assembly for approximately two and a half years on Friday 4th November and especially to welcome parents in to join us! The children of 6CB did themselves proud and shared their learning about Greek mythology. Lamin played his role to perfection as the wicked Zeus and Aiza played a dramatic Pandora. The children ended the assembly with a catchy Olympian rap, which had us all wanting to join in. Thanks 6CB!

Pudsey Visit:       On Friday 4th November, we enjoyed a surprise visit from Pudsey Bear! Pudsey came to visit Moat House to deliver some Children in Need merchandise and also to remind us all that Children in Need day is coming soon - Friday 18th November. The merchandise will be available for children to buy at playtimes from Monday. Costings are as follows: Pudsey ears - £2.50, wrist bands and pin badges - £1. The School Council have consulted with their classes and have decided that they would like to come into school on 18th November, wearing either football shirts/kits or clothing with colours of a country’s flag who will be representing the World Cup, as this will be starting very soon. Please could children bring in a contribution of 50p (or what you can afford) in exchange for this.

YR trip to Coombe Country Park:     On Wednesday 2nd November, our Reception children enjoyed an autumnal walk through the grounds of Coombe Abbey. The children spent time spotting and studying signs of autumn, completing a scavenger hunt, and completing leaf and bark rubbings.  Much fun was had climbing over logs, walking through the woods and retelling the story of the bear hunt but the children were most fascinated by the colours of all the different trees!  To finish the day off the children had the opportunity to play in the woodland playground.
