3NL’s Class Assembly: Thank you to 3NL for sharing a fantastic class assembly with us on Friday 18th November. It was all about Children in Need and reminded us that things that we want aren’t necessarily what we need. They reminded us that the things we need include: shelter, food, clothing, medical care and protection from harm. The assembly finished with a topical Children in Need song – well done 3NL!
Children in Need: On Friday 18th November, we came in to school wearing football shirts/kits or colours of a country involved in the World Cup. This was to raise money for Children in Need – we also invited children to bring in any spare change/bronze coins that they may have hanging around at home. Thanks for your support.
Hope: Key Stage 2 really enjoyed a thought provoking performance called Hope on Thursday 17th November. It is a play about bullying and it linked in with our anti-bullying week activities. After the play, the actors did workshops with our Year 4, 5 and 6 children.
Anti-Bullying Week: Anti-Bullying Week is an annual UK event, which aims to raise awareness of bullying of children and young people, in schools and elsewhere, and to highlight ways of preventing and responding to it. We started our week on Monday 14th November with 'Odd Socks Day' and continued to promote the week through identifying acts of kindness around our school.
