Year 6 Leadership Struggle!

The children learnt about democracy, ranging from who is allowed to vote to the importance of it. They then pretended to be two different political parties, one party arguing for keeping schools open five days a week and the other party arguing for only keeping them open for four days. The children in each party came up with reasons and then elected a leader. The leaders then gave a speech to the class and the whole class had a vote on the topic. The party running for school being open for five days won!
