This term (Spring 2018), we are putting a greater emphasis on encouraging our children to learn their times tables. We are introducing the “99 Club” as a way of giving children an incentive to do this. Within the children’s maths classes, each child will be given a club sheet to complete starting at the “10 Club” (KS1), which consists of 10 questions all the way up to “99 Club”, which has 99 questions. Children will need to complete each Club sheet three times before they can move on to the next Club and these will be completed twice per week within the children’s maths classes. This will ensure that children become secure with their times tables facts or related division facts and the quick recall of these.
